Hills work splits cleanly. There is the construction activity through the Mount Barker growth area, and there is rural property where the scrap has been accumulating quietly for decades. The first needs a bin on site, the second needs a truck and a day.
Construction and trade
- New residential sites. Cable, copper pipe, roofing offcuts, framing accessories, aluminium window offcuts.
- Renovation and extension work on older Hills housing.
- Shed builds and farm infrastructure work.
- Electrical, plumbing and solar contractors working the corridor.
Rural blocks
- Fencing wire, posts and old gates.
- Water tanks, troughs and stands.
- Machinery, implements and vehicle bodies.
- Collapsed sheds, roofing iron and structural steel.
- Pumps, motors, generators and batteries.
Rates
Indicative rates, the same ones on the home page. Metal markets move every week, so ring 0435 805 124 for the exact figure before you load up.
Access in the Hills
The Hills add one thing metro jobs do not: tracks and gradients. A heap at the bottom of a wet, steep track is a different job from the same heap beside a sealed driveway, and it is worth saying so when you ring. Narrow access, overhanging trees and soft ground all change the vehicle, and all of them are better known in advance than discovered on the day.
Minimums
Outside metro Adelaide a minimum load applies and it scales with distance. A full clear-out or a run of machinery clears it easily. A single trough does not, and we would rather tell you that on the phone than take the booking.
How it runs
- Ring or message with the location, photos of the heap and photos of the access.
- We give you a figure and say plainly whether the trip works.
- Book a day. Pull the copper, brass and aluminium aside if you can.
- Weighed by type on site.
- Paid with the weights in writing.
