There are two ways people deal with us. A one-off clear-out, or an ongoing arrangement. They suit different situations and the switch point is more obvious than people expect.
One-off loads
The right choice for most households. A shed clear-out, a renovation, a deceased estate, an old car, a fence replacement.
- Ring, describe it, get a price.
- We collect, usually within 24 hours.
- Weighed in front of you, paid on the spot.
- Done.
No arrangement, no commitment, and no reason to think about it again until the next one.
Standing pickups
The right choice for anyone generating metal on a regular basis. Sparkies, plumbers, mechanics, refrigeration, builders, shopfitters, factories and workshops.
- We agree a frequency, weekly, fortnightly or on call.
- We come to the yard or the site without you having to ring.
- Weighed and paid each visit.
- Out-of-cycle pickups when a big job lands.
Why it works out better
- Nobody has to remember. The main reason trade scrap piles up is that ringing is one more thing on a long list.
- Sorting gets easier. A regular rhythm means bins get set up properly instead of everything going in one pile at the last minute.
- It stops competing for space. Metal piling up in a yard is a real cost in a small workshop.
- You find out what you are actually generating. Regular dockets show you the volume, which is usually more than people guess.
What does not change
Rates are the market rate either way. A standing arrangement does not mean a locked price, because nobody can lock a commodity price, and anyone offering to is building a buffer in somewhere.
What it does mean is that the collection is predictable and nobody is spending time organising it.
Setting one up
Ring and tell us what you generate and roughly how fast it builds. We will suggest a frequency and adjust it after a few visits once we both know what the real volume is.
No contract, no commitment. If it is not working, we stop.
